The Walworth County Fair isn’t just about rides, livestock shows, grandstand entertainment, and cherished traditions, it’s also one of the best places in Wisconsin to indulge in incredible fair food. Every summer, the fairgrounds fill with the irresistible aromas of smoked barbecue, freshly baked treats, sizzling cheese curds, and creative new foods that keep visitors coming back year after year.
Whether you’re a lifelong fairgoer or planning your first visit, one thing is certain: you won’t leave hungry. In fact, narrowing down our favorite Walworth County Fair food was nearly impossible this year.
We know what you’re thinking, aren’t these supposed to be Top 10 lists? Usually, yes. But after revisiting our favorites from recent years and looking ahead to the 2026 fair, we simply couldn’t leave one off the list. So, consider this our bonus edition: the Top 11 Must-Eats at the Walworth County Fair. Your taste buds will be thanking us.
We’re also excited to share that after missing the fair in 2025, we’ve heard Eat at Joe’s is officially returning for the 2026 Walworth County Fair! Their Volcano Roll became one of our favorite new discoveries in 2024 and we’re already counting down the days until we can enjoy another one.
Last year also introduced us to a new standout vendor. While we’re disappointed that Sassy Mac Boys won’t be returning in 2026, their Jalapeño Sausage Mac was one of our most memorable fair food finds last year.

11. Annie’s Burger Town: A New Favorite
One of the biggest surprises for us at last year’s fair was Annie’s Burger Town. They really stole the show with their rotating daily pizza specials. Our hands-down favorite was the Street Corn Pizza, a delicious combination of sweet corn, savory toppings, and bold flavor that quickly became one of the most memorable things we ate all week.
The best part? There was a different specialty pizza featured each day, giving fairgoers a reason to stop back again and again. We’re hoping Annie’s brings back the daily specials for 2026 because we’ll definitely be making our way through the entire menu.
10. Stowell’s: A Taste of Tradition
For those of us who grew up showing at the fair, and now return with our own kids, Stowell’s is a must. Tucked inside the Activity Center, this locally owned stand has been a staple for as long as I can remember.
They open bright and early with a solid breakfast lineup, including fresh donuts and warm French toast sticks. As the day goes on, you’ll find Wisconsin favorites like juicy burgers, BBQ pork, hot dogs, crispy cheese fries, and thick, creamy shakes. It’s classic fair comfort food at its best.
9. Cheese Curds from the Wisconsin Cheese Stand: A Dairyland Classic
No Wisconsin fair food list is complete without cheese curds, and the best ones can be found at the Wisconsin Cheese Stand, right across from the Fair Office. Golden, gooey, and perfectly fried, these curds are crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth magic on the inside. They’re everything you love about Wisconsin in one glorious bite.
8. Caramel Apple Delight: Sweet with a Hint of “Healthy”
Every year, my wife has to get a Caramel Apple Delight, and I don’t blame her. Fresh chopped apples are topped with gooey warm caramel, crunchy nuts, and a dollop of whipped cream. It’s a sweet treat that almost feels healthy, and it’s perfect for sharing (or not). You’ll find it in the second food aisle near the Midway.
7. Gertrude’s Pretzels: Flavor Twists You’ll Crave
Whether you need a salty snack or a savory bite on the go, Gertrude’s Pretzels delivers. Located just outside the Jr. 4-H Exhibit Building, this stand offers seasoned soft pretzels, pretzel-wrapped brats and hot dogs, and our favorite, the Garlic Parmesan Pretzel with cheese sauce.
6. Happy Camper Coffee: Your Midday Pick-Me-Up
Need a caffeine boost between the barns and the rides? Don’t miss Happy Camper Coffee, located near the Wiswell Center.
This charming little stand has become a hidden gem for fairgoers. They serve creative coffee drinks both hot and iced, but our go-to is the Northern Lights Latte—an iced latte with blackberry syrup that sounds odd but tastes amazing. One sip and you’ll be hooked.
5. Steak Sundae from Deanna’s Sundaes: A Savory Dream
Don’t let the name fool you, this isn’t dessert. The Steak Sundae from Deanna’s Sundaes is a savory feast layered with crispy fries, tender steak, and melted cheese. It’s hearty, comforting, and one of those meals the kids devour just as fast as the grownups. It’s a fair food win for the whole family.
4. The Crab Shack: Seafood at the Fair? Yes, Please!
Right along the track, The Crab Shack serves up seafood that might surprise you. From crispy fish or shrimp po’boys and crab cakes to their drool-worthy loaded fries and classic fish fry, every dish is bursting with flavor. Don’t forget to grab a cherry limeade in a souvenir cup, they’re refillable and refreshingly good.
3. Uncle Ed’s BBQ: Bold, Saucy, and Unforgettable
Uncle Ed’s BBQ brings the heat, literally. Located near the grandstand, their menu includes ribs, BBQ chicken, creamy mac and cheese, and garlic bread.
But the real standout? The BBQ rib sandwich. Tender ribs smothered in sauce and tucked between buttery slices of garlic bread. It’s bold, messy, and absolutely worth it. Don’t forget extra napkins!
2. Volcano Roll from Eat at Joe’s: Explosively Good
One of the best additions to the fair in recent years, Eat at Joe’s wowed us with their unforgettable Volcano Roll.
This deep-fried chicken and vegetable egg roll is drizzled with teriyaki sauce, yum yum sauce, and sriracha, creating the perfect balance of savory, sweet, and spicy.
We found ourselves stopping back almost every day for another one, and we’re thrilled to hear they’ll be returning in 2026. This is one item that absolutely lives up to the hype.
1. Silver Dollar Concessions: The Iconic Cinnamon Roll
Every family has that one fair tradition they look forward to most. For us, it’s the famous cinnamon roll from Silver Dollar Concessions.
It’s usually the first thing we eat when we arrive and often the last thing we eat before heading home. Warm, soft, and larger than life, these cinnamon rolls can be enjoyed plain or topped with pecans and frosting.
Located next to the Activity Center, Silver Dollar’s cinnamon roll has become the gold standard for fair treats. If you’re only going to try one thing on this list, make it this.
